On July 2, Leo XIV appointed a rather orthodox and Catholic priest to an important English see. Rev. Stephen Wang, 59, currently rector of the Venerable English College in Rome, was named Bishop of Arundel and Brighton. Rev. Wang is the founder of Sycamore, one of the most widely used Catholic evangelization programmes in the English-speaking world. He is believed to be the first English Catholic bishop with Chinese ancestry. His father is Chinese, with family roots in Guangdong Province in southern China. Wang himself was born in London and grew up in Harpenden, Hertfordshire. PhD on Happiness He was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Westminster in 1998 and has a PhD from Cambridge on human happiness. His later published book developed this research into Aquinas and Sartre: On Freedom, Personal Identity, and the Possibility of Happiness. INFOVATICANA | July 2, 2026 The two documents published on 2 July by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith—a Decree and an Explanatory Note (Prot. N. 99/2009), both signed by Cardinal Víctor Manuel Fernández and the secretaries Armando Matteo and John J. Kennedy—present defects of canonical technique that drastically limit their actual scope. Analyzed in accordance with Book VI of the Code of Canon Law, their juridical effect is reduced to the declaration of six excommunications. With respect to the more than seven hundred priests of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X and their faithful, the formula employed lacks penal efficacy. 1. Two instruments of distinct juridical nature On the one hand, the Decree declares “for all juridical purposes” that Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta and the four bishops consecrated on 1 July—Pascal Schreiber, Michael Goldade, Michel Poinsinet de Sivry and Marc Hanappier—have incurred ipso facto the excommunication latae sententiae reserved to the …More
Clash Report @clashreport Germany's Chancellor Merz: We can no longer accept the extraordinarily high levels of sick leave in our companies. We are abolishing sick leave by telephone and introducing the requirement to submit a medical certificate from the very first day of illness. We know this is a tough decision. But we can no longer afford this competitive disadvantage caused by prolonged absences from work.
Holy Gospel of Jesus Christ according to Saint John 20,24-29. Thomas, called Didymus, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples said to him, "We have seen the Lord." But he said to them, "Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger into the nailmarks and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." Now a week later his disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and stood in their midst and said, "Peace be with you." Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here and see my hands, and bring your hand and put it into my side, and do not be unbelieving, but believe." Thomas answered and said to him, "My Lord and my God!" Jesus said to him, "Have you come to believe because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."
'About the Love of God and the Love of a Neighbor' ~ [Saint Catherine of Siena /Caterina di Benincasa/; XIV-XV Century AD; born: Siena, Republic of Siena/died: Rome, Papal States; aged 33; Spiritual Writer; Mystic; Virgin; Doctor of the Church] How virtues are accomplished by means of our neighbour and how it is that virtues differ to such an extent in creatures. " I have told thee how all sins are accomplished by means of thy neighbour, through the principles which I exposed to thee, that is, because men are deprived of the affection of love, which gives light to every virtue. In the same way self-love, which destroys charity and affection towards the neighbour, is the principle and foundation of every evil. All scandals, hatred, cruelty, and every sort of trouble proceed from this perverse root of self-love, which has poisoned the entire world, and weakened the mystical body of the Holy Church, and the universal body of the believers in the Christian religion ; and, therefore, I said …More
" And it cannot be otherwise, because love of Me and of her neighbour are one and the same thing, and, so far as the soul loves Me, she loves her neighbour, because love towards him issues from Me."

1) Any doctrine that does not originate in the Holy Scriptures and which claims to proclaim the Truth is a lie. a) Saint John 7:18 “He who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the Glory of the One who sent him is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him.” b) The FAITHFUL Church will suffer and be persecuted for protecting the Holy Gospel (Bishop Strickland); on the other hand, the schismatics are attempting to reinvent the Church of Jesus, modernise His teachings and introduce obscene laws into the Church (Fiducia suplicans, Pachamama: Cardinal Fernández, Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV). 2) Edson Glauber of Brazil received specific dates for events from the Blessed Mother of God: a) During the seven years from 2005 to 2012: there will be fierce attacks against the Supreme Pontiff. (Benedict XVI resigned in February 2013). b) During the seven years from 2012 to 2019: confusion and heresy against the faith, the dogmas and the teachings of the Church will …More
I think it's a difficult argument to make definitively and decisively. Therefore, it is much more correct to say the so-called "excommunications" are completely without effect since the troubling state of the Church--awash in heterdoxy and a hierarchy sympathetic to it, a Church that rubber stamps the Consecration of Communist Chinese Bishops without a second thought and under the guidelines of a secret agreement with them, a Church that smiles upon sexual deviancy, receives such deviants in audience, writes books about Our Lord (Tucho) that are shamefully immoral, issues encyclicals that cause moral confusion in the universal Church, and more-- such so-called "excommunications' are without effect since a state of necessity and emergency are absolutely clear....far more so today than they were in 1988.

– Folha de S. Paulo, July 2, 1969 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira A radical and cunning leftward-moving centrism is the left’s best “cheering squad.” If Our Lord Jesus Christ appeared visibly in Brazil, our center-left critics would accuse Him of agitation. They would naturally try to portray the Man-God using the Institutional Act and the National Security Law based on their own interpretation. I came to this conclusion after considering two common and clearly center-left objections I’ve heard against the TFP’s most recent campaign. Before analyzing these objections, I want to briefly point out a common contradiction among most of those who raise them. They are notably hostile to the Institutional Act and the National Security Law, arguing that by limiting the freedom of thought of communists, these laws inherently violate human freedom in its most fundamental form. Yet, they conveniently ignore the liberal principles they claim to uphold when it comes to the TFP, and no legal restrictions …More

[Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich; XVIII-XIX Century; born: 8 September 1774 Flamschen, Coesfeld, Prince-Bishopric of Münster, Holy Roman Empire/ died: 9 February 1824 (aged 49), Dülmen, Kingdom of Prussia, German Confederation; mystic, Marian visionary and stigmatist; Roman Catholic Augustinian canoness] MEDITATION VIII ‘Institution of the Holy Eucharist’ By command of our Lord, the major-domo had again laid out the table, which he had raised a little; then, having placed it once more in the middle of the room, he stood one urn filled with wine, and another with water underneath it. Peter and John went into the part of the room near the hearth, to get the chalice which they had brought from Seraphia’s house, and which was still wrapped up in its covering. They carried it between them as if they had been carrying a tabernacle, and placed it on the table before Jesus. An oval plate stood there, with three fine white azymous loaves, placed on a piece of linen, by the side of the half loaf …More
"Jesus was seated between Peter and John, the doors were closed, and everything was done in the most mysterious and imposing manner. When the chalice was taken out of its covering, Jesus prayed, and spoke to his Apostles with the utmost solemnity. I saw him giving them an explanation of the Supper, and of the entire ceremony, and I was forcibly reminded of a priest teaching others to say Mass."

Canon law is an evolving aspect of Church life. New situations not envisaged at the time of definition are not always well served by it. Unlike Catholic dogmatic teachings and the natural law, it needs to be refined to cater for the emerging situations. Here we have a zealous adherence to the changeable on the one hand but the tyrannical imposition of the rejection of the unchangeable. A rigid legalistic imposition to serve the flux of dissolution.
